This dessert item is easy to make and is a great dessert to bring along to your tailgate.
Time Required: 15-20 minutes
Skill Required: Moderate cooking skills required
Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 cup + 3 teaspoons sugar
- 1 large container of Cool Whip
- 18 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 large box strawberry Jell-O
- 1 small can crushed pineapple w/ juice
- 1 pound frozen strawberries
Steps:
- Melt the butter and add the pretzels and 3 teaspoons of sugar
- Press into a 9x13 pan and bake at 400 for 7 minutes
- Allow to cool
- Mix the Cool Whip, cream cheese, and 1 cup of sugar and spread on the crust
- Add 2 cups boiling water to the Jell-O, along with pineapple and strawberries. Pour into dish on top of cheese & Cool Whip layer
- Chill and serve
